Getting Our Fair Share from the American Rescue Plan 2024
Most of us know that the American Rescue Plan, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act have allocated unprecedented funds for state and local governments and nonprofits to carry out critical work that is so often underfunded - or not supported at all.
What many of us don't know is that millions of dollars are still available. In addition to grants, these funds include "direct pay," providing reimbursement for clean energy projects that meet criteria. These projects prioritize equity, good jobs and clean energy.
CCAG, and Ann Pratt and Kai Thompson of People's Action, hosted a lively session on how to find out what is still available, and how to go about accessing it.

Solutions are in reach!
As scientists and recent events make clear, the climate emergency is NOW.
CCAG , the Sierra Club and allies are calling on legislators to ramp up efficiency measures and keep Connecticut's climate promise.
There is no time to lose in stopping the use and production of fossil fuels and transitioning to a clean energy economy.
Fortunately, solutions are within reach. And while Connecticut has made some progress, much remains to be done.

Insure Our Future Global Week of Action CT Action 2/26/24
We want to make sure you have Monday marked on you calendar! This action is 1 of 67 Insure Our Future actions happening worldwide in 27 different countries across 5 continents.
We have an amazing opportunity to stand in solidarity with the Louisiana Gulf community whose home has been gravely impacted by the LNG Export Plant.
IWe hope to see you Monday at 11:30am at The Hartford Insurance Company!
Next week is the Insure Our Future campaigns Global Week of Action. There will be actions all around the world calling out insurance companies' role in the climate crisis, and in the US we are setting our sights on the insurers of the toxic LNG terminals.
Join us Monday (2/26) from 11:30am-1pm outside The Hartford insurance company in downtown Hartford to stand with Louisiana frontline activists and hold underwriters accountable!
On Monday (2/26) two activists from the Louisiana Gulf will be traveling all the way to Hartford to confront The Hartford, as they are one of the underwriters listed on US LNG export terminals. We will hear from activists and Lake Charles community members, Roishetta Sibley Ozane and James Hiatt, who have been fighting tirelessly to protect their community.
Insurance is Connecticut's keystone industry, and The Hartford touts themselves as one of the "world's most ethical companies" .
As Connecticut citizens, we must hold them accountable and stand in solidarity with the communities that are suffering from their greed.
Please feel free to share this action to your lists/contacts and let me know if you have any questions or would like to get more involved!
See you Monday! Helen Humphreys, CCAG Communications Coordinator
