Getting Our Fair Share from the American Rescue Plan 2024Most of us know that the American Rescue Plan, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Inflation Reduction Act have allocated unprecedented funds for state and local governments and nonprofits to carry out critical work that is so often underfunded - or not supported at all.
What many of us don't know is that millions of dollars are still available. In addition to grants, these funds include "direct pay," providing reimbursement for clean energy projects that meet criteria. These projects prioritize equity, good jobs and clean energy. CCAG, and Ann Pratt and Kai Thompson of People's Action, hosted a lively session on how to find out what is still available, and how to go about accessing it. Don't Forget to Vote!In March Connecticut will have early voting for the first time ever. Tuesday, March 26 through Thursday, March 28 and Saturday, March 30, 2024. Early voting polls will be open 10 AM – 6 PM.
The presidential primary Election Day is Tuesday, April 2, 2024. Polls will be open 6 AM - 8 PM as they always are on Election Day, and voting locations are by precinct. Check your registration and polling location on the Office of the Connecticut Secretary of the State lookup page here.
